Nestled in the Coconino National Forest, Sedona is quickly becoming one of the premiere destinations for mountain biking. With over 300 miles of single track trails you will quickly find out that you didn't plan enough time to ride! By far the best way to tour Sedona is by mountain bike! (Read more about the trails. View pictures of the trails.)
Why do I need a guide? 1) The trail system can be confusing. In other words, it's easy to get lost 2) We will tell you about the local environment and history 3) We can help you find great things to do in Sedona and Northern Arizona 4) Our expert guides can help you advance your skills. 5) It's more fun to ride with people who know where their going!
Why should I book my tour with Sedona MTB Adventures? We are permitted by the Coconino National Forest and have the most extensive access to the trail system. We practice Leave no Trace and Tread Lightly values and do not ride in Wilderness areas. At least 3% of our proceeds go back to maintaining the national forest. (Be aware that the outfitter guide you choose has a permit with the Red Rock Rangers district, we do.) TESTEMONIALS
All of our tours are customized* to your riding preferences, you set the pace. No matter what type of ride you chose, your guide will treat you to red slick rock, desert washes, and scenic vistas! Your guide can also tell you about the geology, ecology, and history that makes Sedona unique.
* You can also request specific trails. We have access to Bell Rock Pathway, Templeton/Baldwin (Cathedral Rock Loop), Broken Arrow (the most popular rides), Mystic, Little Horse, Munds Wagon, Huckaby, Thompson, Jordan, Teacup, Airport, Caroll Canyon and Girdner trail systems.
Rental Bikes are provided by Absolute Bikes, a full service mountain and road bike shop. Most tours meet and end at Absolute Bikes located at 6101 Hwy 179 in the Village of Oak Creek . All bike rentals come with the use of a bike helmet, repair kit, and a souvenir water bottle.
Don't forget to make your reservation!
We can usually schedule your ride with as short as a days' notice. However, in peak season you may need to book further in advance.
